Herding Goats to the Cyclone

dear commuters,

yesterday was an adventuresome day. after work, was invited for a beer with a beer connoisseur couple touring from ohio: jen and jerry. they'd needed directions on how to get around on muni - to go to zietgiest, the toronado, sweet magnolias, beach chalet. I escorted them to the Toronado from the #22's stop on Haight at Fillmore where they insisted I join them for a beer. They kindly treated. I had the Drake 1500 - in honor of the Sped dept. at balboa. Jer had a version of a Black and Tan known as Chocolate and Rasberries. They showed me the pinkish colour at the bottom of the glass swirling under the weight of the opaque Guiness. Jer went on to order me a sampler of that pink brew. It's known as Limbeden's Frambois Ale - a unique Belgian drink served in a wine glass. What a great way to celebrate the 1st day of July!! They served me up a whole pint after my sample - but I only finished .5 as I had to get back to the ranch.
One more interesting tidbit. Jen and Jer live outside Akron on 26 acres of land = to 7 to 8 football fields. They raise male goats and Jen maintains 18 acres of lawn by power mowing it every week. Guys it was great to get to know ya and happy trails.
